  • 17 May - Norwegian National Day

The Norwegian National Day is 17th May and marks the signing of The Constitution of Norway at Eidsvoll on May 17 in the year 1814. The constitution declared Norway to be an independent nation. Among Norwegians, the day is referred to simply as 'syttende mai' (meaning 17th May) or Nasjonaldagen (The National Day).

In 2010 we celebrate 17th May on Sunday 16th May at Toorak House. Please stay tuned for details.
