  • Annual Mid-Winter Luncheon & AGM

    Please set aside Saturday 14 August, 1pm for a special Members Only (with family) Luncheon at the Harbour Room of the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squandron in St Kilda.

  • Nordic Festival - 22/23 May 2010

    A Nordic Festival is currently in the making for the weekend of 22-23 May 2010 in Warburton. The festival is a not-for-profit event organised by the Warburton Chamber of Commerce in consultation with the local Nordic communities. Any funds raised during the event will go towards the next year's festival and our Warburton Community Christmas Party.

  • 17 May - Norwegian National Day

    The Norwegian National Day is 17th May and marks the signing of The Constitution of Norway at Eidsvoll on May 17 in the year 1814. The celebrations will be held on Sunday 16 May at Toorak House, 21 St George Street, Toorak. We start with a church service at 11 am, and following with speeches, the parade, brass band music, children's games, raffle and hot dogs from 12 noon.

  • Parents Group - Term 2: Norwegian Crafts

    Please come and join us every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. The dates in May will be the 11th and 25th May – we can do a little bit of a special May 17th party on the 25th even though we would have had the Sunday event.

  • Music from Scotland, Shetland and Norway

    Enjoy a journey through the traditional music of Scotland, the Shetland Isles and Norway. This is a once-only event featuring one of the finest folk musicians from Scotland; Sarah-Jane Summers on Highland and Norwegian fiddle.

  • Norske Gudstjenster i Melbourne

    Åse Louise Lindberg, the Norwegian Priest who presides in Sydney, will hold regular church services at the Swedish Church in Toorak. The dates are set as follows:

    28 February at 11:00 am
    25 April at 16:00 pm
    16 May at 11:00 at (coincides with our National Day celebrations)
    20 June at 11:00 am

  • Sail “The Enterprize”, Melbourne's own tallship!

    Friends of Norway is organising a sailing experience on The Enterprize Sunday 14 March, during The Williamstown Festival.
